The Full Story
Welcome to my blog. I always find it quite awkward to write about myself as it requires me to step outside my body and ask the same question you are probably asking in your head: “what are you all about.” But here goes.
My name is Akosua and I guess I come with a few titles (you can refer to my first ever blog for a better worded introduction :)) but I would categorise myself under the following headings:
A new millennial mum totally in love with my current normal
A “career woman”
Point number 2 is really what has inspired me to start blogging. Becoming a mother totally changed my life in all the right ways and although some of these changes have completely thrown off my life plans, and in some respects I am usually just “figuring things out” as time goes on, it is a journey like no other. I’ve always been a thinker and a talker and some would say obsessive Googler, so naturally once I started maternity leave, I simply could not keep still and do nothing. You will usually find me dishing out advice to whoever will listen and a lot of my sentences begin with “I read that…” and “I think that….” (the Management Consultant in me) so you can imagine I probably have a lot to say about everything. Writing became an outlet for me to gather my thoughts and to be honest new born babies are not the best conversationalists, so I found myself enjoying the process of documenting the madness that goes through my mind. I thoroughly enjoyed writing and so decided to turn my pieces into blog posts which you hopefully will enjoy.
You’ve probably guessed it; Noah is my adorable little “sonshine” and what a curious little soul he is, hence the name of my blog, after all, he is the inspiration behind it. My husband and I always joked that he is as inquisitive as me and always wants to be in view of any slither of action happening around him. The apple definitely did not fall too far from the tree on that front.
I shan’t ramble on any longer but I do hope you enjoy my posts, even if you don’t find it particularly useful, you will hopefully leave here with a :) on your face.
